Hi

I took some pictures (screenshots and digicam fotos) of a flight fom LSZH to LSGG with my LDS under FS X SP2 and LSZH-scenery from FSDreamTeam. Three monitors with Matrox TH2G and two monitors for the instruments.

Have fun.

Peter,

I am very interested to three monitor system.

I am not PC expert. If I have three monitors : one my present 22" Samsung and If I purchase two 19" Samsung monitors. Can I put  LDS-767 cockpit view to 22" and second and third 19" monitor left and right cockpit Windows with scenery.

Or what combination do you advise?? and what I need to make three monitors working through same PC?

Thanks

Sanal

Sanal

I have a high-end configuration with two graphic adapters (each one with two outputs) and additionaly one Matrox TH2G adapter for 3 monitors. Total 6 monitors.

On your PC with one graphic adapter you can connect two monitors (depends on your adapter); so you can display the instrument on one screen and the scenery on the other; thats what many people do. I will post a Digicam picture of my config.

Nice monitor or should I say sim setup you have got there! Great screenshots too by the way Wink. It must be even more fun to fly the 767 now!

Yes, it makes a lot of fun; easy to manage, I have all my windows open and accessable with my mouse and when I like an outside- / window- view just click S and A and it appears on the three 15 inch monitors.

Additionaly I have another PC and monitor on the right handside (not on the pictures) with Simconnect to dislay all my Navigraph charts, a moving map and Moving-GoogleEarth.

Very nice setup Peter! Clap

I'm wondering if it would be able to use a touchscreen for the overhead panel so that you can move the switches by touching them instead of using the mouse...

Cheers,

Yes it is possible to put a tochscreen to act as a overhead panel; the only problem is the price.

Here a 17 inch monitor costs about US$ 230 and a touchscreen about US$ 1500!!

I tried the triple head to go for my system. When all monitors are the same its good but they don't work with touch screens.
We are using Keytec systems (touch sensitive) but a New Zealand company called Next Window make cheaper versions using 2 cameras, google their site.

Cool stuff. I had the matrox setup th2go and my frame rates suffered a small amount. That is a nice setup and I sure like the extra side views. It makes flying so much easier. Taxiing is easier also. Happy flying sir.

Hi Petermaxkoller

I have been studying your description of the config and still did not get
how you can connect 6 monitors to 1 PC Confused

Can you please again explain it more elaborately?
If you have a Diagram or document describing these, can you please upload it?

Just a Thought :
Is it possible in LDS somehow to have a full panel view (meaning
captain and co-pilot panel merged so that you get complete left to right view?)

This would give most authentic view of the front panel.

Anyways Thanks for sharing your setup. Really fantastic. Clap

No problem; I dont have a diagramm or something similar; I try to explain it for you:

1. With LDS (2D-Panels) you cannot (I think so) have the pilot (left) and the copilot (right) panel at the same time. Normally everybody plays the pilot and so is using the left panel.

2. Six monitors on my PC:

I am using TWO graphic adapters (2 x NVIDIA 8800 GTS 640 MB memory each).
This two adapters have two exits each, so I have for connections. Three of this four connections I use for the OVERHEAD monitor, the left MAINPANEL monitor and the right monitor with the FMC and the PEDESTAL.
The last (forth) connection ist the INPUT for the MATROX Tripple Head to GO (TH2G); this external box has THREE monitor exits for my THREE 17inch (3x1024x768 pixel) monitors displaying the cockpit front view 3072x768 pixel.

Thats it.

Hi there, i have a triple head to go, i also have to GTS 8800 on my pc. I have 3 monitores from my triple head to go giving me the front view conected to my first video card, on the second video card i connected two monitores, but when i try to get full view every thing starts blinking, the only why i got it to work was three moniters from my triple head to go on the first card and another monitor conected to my other video card, my dream is to have a set up like yours but haven't been possible.
Any ideas or suggestions on how to get it running like yours and one more thing, don't you loose a lot of FPS with all the monitors, i noticed some loss.
One more thing do you run al these monitores on full view or on windos view.
Thanks

Hey it's me again i am just woundeing maybe it's the order you conect the monitores, i have my triple head to go conected to the first output of the first video card the rest on the second card, you seem to have your triple head to go as your last monitor.
I have to try that maybe that way it will work.
Still send me some suggestions on how you got it connected.
Thanks

Andres

1. Yes, you get a lille less framerates with each additional monitor you connect<, depends on your system power!

2.  am running FS9 and normally FSX with my configuration; see the pictures in the post. But I am using ONLY windowed mode, all my monitors have windows (not fullscreen); the monitors after the TH2G box get the cockpit outside view as a window with 3072x768 pixels; the instruments (overhead, FMS, Pedestal and maininstruments are separate windows (undocked) and shifted to the respective monitor.

Did you understand; try to use only UNDOCKED windows and it should work.

Hi Peter Sir!

At last i think i found somebody that can help....I did spend a lot on the software and Hardware ro run the FSX. Firstly below is the details of my set up.

SOFTWARE

1) OS-WINDOW XP PRO 64 BITS WITH DIRECT 10

2) FSX ACCELERATION PACK

3) PMDG 747 QUEENS OF THE SKIES

4)WILCO AIRBUS V.2

HARDWARE

1) QUAD CORE EXTREME Q9550 OVERCLOCKED to 4.1GHZ

2)MOTHERBOARD - ASUS PQ5_PRO

3)GRAPHICS CARD - MSI NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 295 1792MB

4) RAM - KINGSTON 8GB

5) HARDISK - 320GB

6) COOLING - COOLMASTER V8

7) POWER SUPPLY - COOLMASTER 700 WATTS EXTREME

8) MONITORS - ACER 23" (x3) & ACER 18.5" (x1)

9) TRIPLEHEAD2GO

10) TRACK IF PRO

11) SAITEK YOKE, QUANDRANT & PEDALS

I can't set up like yours or http://vimeo.com/2103259

I try to contact these guy but no respond.

What happen is when I am in the 2D cockpit view I am missing the panel ! When I start up my flight I am in the virtual cockpit by default... when I switch to 2D I can still see the runway, but the instruments are gone (just a black rectangle there) and the cursor/mouse pointer flickers between the pointer and the hour glass.... it stays like that too, no matter what view I go to from there. Is the Triplehead2go got problems?

I want it to be 3 monitors the external Scenery and my 18.5" to be the 2D panel Cockpit.

Please help.......headache...and been spending a lots.

By the way Peter are you in Switzerland sir? Which part? I do travel for business in Europe hopefully can meet you for a cup of tea sir!

Waiting for your kind reply soon!

Danke!

Salman

I do not have any problems with my TH2G (analog version) using 2D panel.

1. Try to modify your FSX settings from default VC to 2D. End the FSX.
2. Before running FSX again: deactivate your TH2G monitor in Windows, then you have a configuration with ONE monitor (18.5").
3. Start FSX and setup on your onemonitor setup a situation (eg. darkcockpit of your 747 with the instruments in a standard 2D-cockpit view. Save this situation in FSX as the default starting situation. Shutdown FSX and Windows.
4. Start Windows including the TH2G with your 3x23" monitors. Start FSX - the saved situation should start on your 18.5" monitor; then undock the scenery and drag it to the TH2G monitors and expand it to the rigt size. Undock the instruments on the 18.5" monitor and resize it to the entire monitor. Save this situation in FSX.

Now you should be abel to run the instruments on one monitor and the scenery on the TH2G monitors.

Try it and give feedback.

Should look like mine:

HI Guys!

Try this.....its really works!

"It seems that the resolution set in Nvidia/Matrox and FSX would only take 3460 x 1050. No larger or my 2D cockpit would vanish and the cursor would flicker and the menu words would just be all lines. So I went back to the older drivers and resolutions and all is fine (albeit not the hi-definition widescreen promised by Matrox and Nvidia)."

Good luck!!!!

Salman
